Introduction
|
This document describes the use of Lonelyway for tour operators. As a tour operator you can present your tours on Lonelyway. Tour has a very broad meaning on Lonelyway. It can be almost anything as for example a trekking tour, a museums tour, a sight seeing tour, a play etc..
Only a few things are forbidden (see Terms of UseTerms of Use ).
You have to pay a small fee for the publication of your tours. The fees are dependent on the country in which your tours are going to happen. Are your tours in a rich country like for example Switzerland, the fee for an entry will be higher as if your tour is in a poorer country e.g. Argentina. However the costs are always below 0.15 USD a day (see price-listprice-list ). For some poorer countries no fees are charged. You have to pay the fee only for the days on which your tour is going to happen. Is one of your tours for example only on Mondays the yearly costs for this ad will be below 7.50 USD. Further you will not get a subscription for each ad, you will get a credit. This has the advantage that you can change your ads as you like and you will not loose money by doing so. You can even delete an ad and replace it by another one without loosing your credit (see price-listprice-list and Terms of UseTerms of Use ).

Registration
|
|
As commercial Tour Operator you have to register register before you can publish your tours on Lonelyway. The registration in itself is free of charge. You even can register and enter your ads without making any payments. In this way you can inform yourself about all the possibilities offered by Lonelyway free of charge. Only if you want to make your ads public, you have to pay for them, as they only will be public, if you have a positive credit on Lonelyway or if your tours are happing in a country where the publication of ads is free of charge. Should you decide not to publish your ads on Lonelyway, you can sign off. Although Lonelyway will regret losing you, Lonelyway will not contact you.

Filling in the form you have to consider the following points:
All your personal data will never become public. The same applies for your E-mail addresses. Users of Lonelyway will have the possibility to contact you by E-mail, however the sending of E-mails is handled by Lonelyway without making your E-mail address public.
On Lonelyway you can pay using the following currencies:

In order that Lonelyway can keep its very flexible payment structure, it is not possible to change the payment currency. The exchange rate between the payment currencies is determined by Lonelyway and it stays constant over a longer period.
The password security question and answer can not be changed after registration. You are free in the choice of your password security answer and you do not have to fill in dates in the recommend way, you can even fill in text instead of a date in such a field. Please choose an answer you will remember even after a long time.
After registration you will receive an E-mail containing your password. The password can be changed after login.

Add Tour
|
|
After login you can enter a tour by clicking on "Add Tour" in the menu.
|
|
If you enter a tour having a positive credit, than this tour will be public immediately. However you can click on "Maintenance" before entering the tour. By doing so, all your tours get invisible to the outside world. You can enter and check your tour in this mode in peace. After you finished entering a tour, please click on "Make Public" to show the tour to everybody.
Entering a tour the following points are of importance:
Details of the tour
You can write the "Details of the tour" in a word processor and copy/paste them into the form. Please keep in mind that you can enter only normal text.
Rating Key
Visitors of Lonelyway have the possibility to rate your tour. To be sure that you get only rated by your customer you can protect the rating function by a key. This key you can tell your customers after the tour.
In case you do not want to be rated, you can enter a rating key and keep it secret.
Contact Address
You can keep the shown address or you can change it. The address you enter belongs always only to the corespondent tour. The address data shown under "Address" will not change.
Uploading of files
In case you have difficulties uploading files, Lonelyway recommends you to enter first all the tour data without uploading any files. After entering the tour in this way you can update your tour (Update a tour) and load up one file after the other. You can not upload files bigger than 100 KB. The picture to the tour gets scaled to a picture of maximal 200 pixel width and 150 pixel height. The map is not changed.
You can only upload the formats jpg, jpeg and png.

Your Tours
|
By clicking on "Your Tours" you get a list of all your tours. You can administer your tours from here.
The view you get on your tours is very similar to the view users of Lonelyway will get. However if you would like to know exactly how users of Lonelyway will see your tours, you have to search them as a user. To do so Lonelyway recommends you to open a new browser. Otherwise you have to log out first.
All links of your tours will work in the same way as they will work for a user. So you can test them without changing to the user view.

By clicking on "Maintenance" you can make your tours invisible to the outside world. The click on "Maintenance" will make all your tours invisible and the text will change to "Make Public". On all other pages a hint will be shown that your tours are not public at the moment. The same payment condition apply under "Maintenance" as if your tours would be public. Should you want that a single tour is not public for some time, please use date the rage available when entering or updating a tour. By doing so you can choose the visibility of each tour individually and you have only to pay for the days on which your tours are going to happen.
Users of Lonelyway will see your tours always when they are happening in their search range.
By clicking on "Make Public" your tours get public again.
You can make changes to a certain tour by clicking on "Update". In case you want to change the category of a tour you have to delete the tour and reenter it using the new category.
In case there is a rating of one of your tours, you can show it by clicking on "Show Rating".
Should a rating be violating the Terms of UseTerms of Use , you can inform Lonelyway by clicking on "here" in "If this entry is violating the rules than you can inform Lonelyway here" and Lonelyway will delete the rating comment in question or the whole rating as appropriate.

Credit display
Your actual credit is shown below your ads. At the same place is also shown how long your ads will be public. Lonelyway will remind you 15 days before your credit runs out for the first time. A second reminder is sent to you a day before your credit runs out. As soon as your credit runs out, your ads will get invisible to the outside word and as soon as you make a payment they will get visible again. As long as you do not delete your ads they will stay on Lonelyway.

Payment of your fees.
Lonelyway is using PayPal for the handling of all your payments. PayPal allows you to pay using one of the common credit cards (the accepted card are shown) or you can use a PayPal account for your payments. The opening of a PayPal account is free of charge. You can get more information about PayPal herehere . For technical reason Lonelyway is charging a minimal fee of 10 USD and you can only pay for your ads month wise. However you will only pay for the days on which your tours are going to happen.

Updating Tours
|
|
To change a tour you have to click "Update". You will get to the same window as for adding a tour and you can make changes or delete the tour. Dependent on the category of your tour you will also have the button "New", which can be used to copy a tour.

Your Data
|
You can change your personal data by clicking on "Your Data". You can change your E-mail address here as well. Just to make sure that you can be contacted using your new E-mail address, Lonelyway will send you an E-mail containing an activation link. Your new E-mail address will only be known to Lonelyway after you activated it. Should you not get an E-mail after changing your E-mail address just go back and change it again and you will get a new activation E-mail.
Here you also can sign off from Lonelyway. Any credit left over will go to Lonelyway.

Address
|
Here you can change your business address. Should you be moving so you can change here the business address for all your tours at once.
Attention! The change in the tour address is only made if all entries in the correspondent tour address are equal to the entries in the business address. For this reason Lonelyway recommends you to check each tour address after changing your business address.

Change Password
|
|
Here you can change your password.
|
|
Your Account
|
|
By clicking on "Your Account" you will get a list with all your payments to Lonelyway. In this list you will also see corrections of your credit made by Lonelyway and gifts to you are shown here as well.

Logout
|
|
By clicking on "Logout" you can leave Lonelyway. Lonelyway recommends you to leave always by logout.
|
|
Lost password
|
In case you forgotten your password you can order a new one from Lonelyway.
Please enter your E-mail address in the correspondent field on the Tour Operator Login PageTour Operator Login Page . After clicking next you will get to following form. After filling in this form you will get two E-mails one containing your password the other one will contain your login name.

Users of Lonelyway can find your tours in the following way.

|
Is a user of Lonelyway searching for a hotel, a tour and a restaurant at his search place will be shown at the right side (see above). The selection of the tour and restaurant is random.
By clicking on the shown entry, the user will get to the detail view of this entry and he has the possibility to get to all the entries at his search place.
Is somebody searching in the restaurant guide a tour and a hotel is shown on the right side and if somebody is searching in the tour guide a hotel and a restaurant is shown.
Is somebody searching in the travel guide a tour, hotel and restaurant is shown on the right side.
