Searching for a Tour
|
|
Here you can search for a tour. On Lonelyway a tour can be almost anything e.g. a trekking tour, a sight seeing tour, going to the theatre and so on. Only a few things are not allowed (see Terms of Use Terms of Use ).

By entering a place you will only find tours at this place. Should you only know the beginning letters, so you can enter those and tours happing at places which have the same beginning letters will be found. To get an overview of all tours offered in a certain country, you can let the place free. However if there are many tours in this country, such a search can take some time. The searching time should be much shorter, if you enter a place. In any case the search will result in a list of places.

Choose a place
|
|
After a tour search you will have the possibility to enter a date range for your search and you can select the place you are looking for from the place list. You can sort the place list by clicking on "Place" in the header. In case your search results in more than 10 places, you can page through the list.

In case your tour place was not found, it means there are no tours recorded for this place so far. Please do not hesitate to enter your own tour. Just click on "Enter Tour". How to enter a tour is described here here .

Overview List of Tours
|
|
By clicking on "Next" in the "List of Places" you will get to the tour list. Here you will find an overview of all private and commercial tours found by your search. You can order the list by clicking on a column header.
|
|
Commercial tours will always have a Tour Operator. By clicking on a tour title you will get to the detail view of this tour.
In case the tour you are looking for is not found, you can enter your own tour by clicking on "Enter Tour". How to enter your own tour is explained herehere .

Detail View of a Private Tour
|
|
In the detail view of a private tour you will get all the information of this tour. Should you have any questions or comments to the tour, you can enter them by clicking on "Add a Comment". Your comment will get immediately public and you can not change it.

|
By clicking on "Register" you can register yourself on a tour.
By clicking on "Print" you can print all the information of a tour.
In case the tour or a comment is violating the Terms of UseTerms of Use , you can inform Lonelyway by clicking on "here" in "If this entry is violating the rules than you can inform Lonelyway here" and Lonelyway will take appropriate actions. Attention! Submitting unjustified abuse messages can lead to your exclusion of Lonelyway.

Register
|
You can register for a private tour by clicking on "Register" at the bottom of the overview page of a private tour. This will lead you to the registration form shown below. In the form you have to choose at least one tour date. Further you can fill in a "Login name" and a "Password". If you do so, you are automatically registered by Lonelyway. The registration is free and it gives you the possibility to make changes in your tour registration and you can get a list of all your tours. A further benefit of the registration is, all your personal data will be filled in automatically, when you register for an other tour.
If you enter a mobile or a phone number, it will be publicly visible.
If you enter an E-mail address, it will never be shown. All E-mails will be send by Lonelyway without showing your E-mail address publicly.
If you would like to receive an E-mail each time something is changing on your tour (addition of a comment, registrations / deregistrations), then please select the corespondent option.

If you are logged in at the time of registration for a private tour, you can only change your personal data by going to "Your Data".

Detail View of a Commercial Tour

In the detail view of a commercial tour you will find all information of this tour.
|
|
|

Rate this Tour

By clicking on "Rate this Tour" in the detail view of a commercial tour, you can rate this tour.
You have to be logged in to be able to do a rating and you can only rate a tour once. You can not change your rating afterwards.
You get the "Rating Key" from the Tour Operator.

Show Rating
|
|
By clicking on "Show Rating" you can get to the details of a rating. In case the rating is violating the Terms of Use Terms of Use , you can inform Lonelyway by clicking on "here" in "If this entry is violating the rules than you can inform Lonelyway here" and Lonelyway will take appropriate actions. Attention! Submitting unjustified abuse messages can lead to your exclusion of Lonelyway.

Add Tour
|
|
Entering of your own tour is free of charge. A tour can be almost anything (see Terms of Use Terms of Use ). Commercial tours of which you are the tour operator have to be entered as commercial tours.
To enter a tour you have to begin with a tour search. In this way it should be prevented, that several people enter the same tour. The tour search always results in a list of places. On the left hand side of this list you can click on "Enter Tour" and you get to the following form:

You have to select the country and enter the place where your tour is going to happen. Should your place have more than one name, Lonelyway recommends you to use the most common one. The same applies for places with different names in different languages. Your tour is only found, if somebody is searching for a place with the same beginning letters. Should your tour happen in Zürich and somebody is searching with Zurigo, he will not find it as Lonelyway does not translate the name of the place. Is somebody searching with Z as place your tour will be found. The same applies if somebody is searching with no place at all.
After you entered a place and country you click "Next" and you will get to the following form:

If you choose "Meeting before leaving" you can enter for every tour date meeting dates and the time you enter under "Meeting at" is the time of the meeting. If you choose "No meeting before leaving" than you will meet when you start the tour and you enter the leaving time. All the other entries are the same.

Please consider the following points when you fill in the form above:
After you click "Next" your tour will become visible for everybody and you can not make any changes.
Details of the tour
You can write the "Details of the tour" in a word processor and copy/paste them into the form. Please keep in mind that you can enter only normal text.
Duration
In this field you can only enter numbers and the decimal point. Should your tour be of variable length, you have to enter a duration anyway and you can say more to it under "Details of the tour".
If you give a price you can only use numbers and the decimal point. Should your tour be free, please enter 0.
Under "Tour Operator" you can enter the Operator of your tour and so everybody knows who is organizing the tour.
Under "Details of the meeting point" you can say more to the meeting point and how your are found. Please consider that people interested in your tour might not know the place well and you not at all.
In the form "Personal Data" you have to enter some information about you and you are done.
Lonelyway will send you E-mails in your preferred language. However only the text coming from Lonelyway will be in this language. The text coming from other user will not be translated.
You have the possibility to register yourself. The registration is free of charge and it has the advantage that you can get a list of all your tours.
Should it happen, that you can not go on a tour, than you can sign off from this tour.
